Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Mix all ingredients except nuts
Stir in nuts
Pour into crust
Melt 2 TBLS of extra butter and pour over top of pie (you won't regret it, trust me!)
Bake on the center rack for 60 -70 min and allow to cool for 24 hours (if you can wait that long)
Tips:
Place your crust on a sheet pan lined with parchment or foil - it's easier to put in oven and saves any spillage in the oven and burning
Foil the edges of pie crust to prevent burning. Remove foil remaining 15 mins to allow to brown lightly
Pie is ready when center is 200 degrees Fahrenheit and the surface will spring back when touched lightly
